Important: Butane Lighter Refilling Guide & Warnings

Warning: Butane is highly flammable. Refuel only in a well-ventilated area, far from any potential ignition source (open flames, sparks, heaters). The lighter must be completely extinguished and cooled to room temperature.

Steps for Optimal Performance:

  • Step 1: Release Leftover Fuel: This is the most critical step. Use a pointed tool to press down the refuel valve until there’s no more gas sound. This clears leftover air and old fuel inside the lighter, ensuring a pure butane fill.
  • Step 2: Connect Fuel Source: Shake the butane canister. Invert both the canister and the lighter. Align and press the nozzle firmly and vertically onto the lighter's valve.
  • Step 3: Fill in Bursts: Refuel in short 3-5 second bursts, allowing a 10-second pause between each. Repeat 2-3 times. The cooler temperature of the lighter body is normal.
  • Step 4: Stabilize: Let the lighter rest upright for 5-10 minutes after filling. This allows the internal temperature and pressure to normalize, guaranteeing a consistent flame.

Troubleshooting: A weak or sputtering flame indicates trapped air. Please follow (step 1) again to release leftover fuel and refill.

Lighter won't ignite or flame is irregular?

● Press the ignition switch, check that the gas is filled in by bleeding the gas or by using another lighter to ignite it. If it ignites, the gas has been filled and you need to check the ignition device for electrical sparks. If it does not ignite and there is no sound of deflating, the flame size valve needs to be adjusted up or refilled.

● If the flame appears irregular, this is caused by unstable internal gas pressure. You can adjust it by rotating the flame size control valve, replenishing butane gas, or controlling the downward pressure applied during ignition.

Cannot be filled with butane gas?

● Check that the lighter's inflation port is not blocked.

● Check that the inflation port is aligned during inflation and that there is no air leakage between the nozzle and the inflation port.

● Keep away from hot areas (above 122°F/50°C).
